Slum Tourism - Kibera

Kibera tourism is hardly a new concept when it comes to people living in Ongata Rongai. And that is if you take this "cool" Minibuses or, as kenyans would call them "Manyanga".

Through these cool buses, I have had a chance to know Kibera slums. I have seen the place, people living there and what I can say is that, there is a lot to be done there, when it comes to the drainage and other infrastructures. Although I was told that some facilities such as hospitals and roads are being developed or are underway.

Today, we had a chance to take some photos that we want to share. It was hard taking them because of the moving bus and other factors, but we atlas managed to take some.

The common business in Kibera in the morning is preparing Mandazi.

We almost got stuck here. It was frightening, but the driver worked his way around it. Ofcourse with the help from the locals.

Have a fantastic day.
